Hi, I'm Joey Hamilton.

I'm a photographer based in the Pacific Northwest. I've been lucky enough to live in and visit some of the most beautiful places in the world, and I bring my camera wherever I go. I shoot a range of styles and I hope that my photos inspire people to action, whether that’s seeking a new experience through travel or adventure, or strengthening their personal connection with nature or the important people in their lives.

In tune with nature.

For a photographer, most of the best light happens around sunrise and sunset. It takes planning and experience to be in the right place at the right time.

In this way, photography is one of the many parts of my life that is connected to the underlying frequency of nature. Whether it’s the tides of the ocean for surfing, the bug hatch on a lake for fishing, the time of day when the snow gets too soft to climb, or waiting that extra 15 minutes after sunset because the sky will look like it’s on fire, nature's timing doesn’t wait for humans.

Keeping it natural indoors.

Captured through natural light, or with the help of studio lighting, indoor photography offers endless opportunities for creativity and storytelling. Whether it's the soulful expressions of individuals, complex elements of still life, or unique textures, my goal is to showcase the interplay of light, shadows, and intricate details, to uncover the hidden narratives within the confines of indoor spaces.

Creating powerful imagery for brands.

With over two decades of experience as a seasoned marketing executive, I have had the privilege of working on both the agency and client sides, gaining valuable insights and a comprehensive understanding of how to craft impactful campaigns. By seamlessly blending my marketing acumen with my artistic sensibilities, I am able to bring forth a distinct and captivating perspective to my work behind the lens.

I recognize that exceptional photography not only possesses the capacity to captivate and inspire but also serves as a powerful tool for effective storytelling and brand differentiation. Each frame carries a narrative thread, inviting the viewer to embark on a visual journey, unraveling layers of meaning and establishing a deep connection with the scene.

Our DEIA Definitions

Diversity is the presence of human difference that may include but is not limited to race, ethnicity, creed, color, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio economic status, language, culture, national origin, religion/spirituality, age, (dis)ability, military/veteran status, political perspective, neurological/developmental conditions, social identities, social group differences, and associational preferences.

Equity is promoting fair and just practices and policies that ensure employees, clients, vendors and the community at large can thrive. Equity is different from equality in that equality implies treating everyone as if their experiences are exactly the same. Being equitable means acknowledging and addressing structural inequalities — historic and current — that advantage some and disadvantage others. Equal treatment results in equity only if everyone starts with equal access to opportunities.

Inclusion is an outcome of creating a community where all members are and feel respected and heard, have a sense of belonging, and are able to participate and achieve their potential. While diversity is essential, it is not sufficient. An organization can be both diverse and non-inclusive at the same time, thus a sustained practice of creating inclusive environments is necessary for success.

Access is creating equitable awareness and opportunity through the identification and removal or reduction of barriers to participation in the activities and functions of our organization and community. Creating access ensures that information, services, and facilities are accessible to everyone.
